Women In Charge Panelist Bios
Katie Pritchard has been with Sandcastle Homes since 2016 after receiving her degree at Texas State University. As the Purchasing Manager, Katie has demonstrated exceptional skills in negotiating contracts, managing vendor relationships, and optimizing procurement strategies. She has been an active member in the GHBA serving on many committees including HOME-PAC, Professional Woman in Building and Government Affairs.
Beyond the professional realm, Katie is known for her love of traveling the world, spending time with family/friends and her adorable dog Ellie. She also volunteers her time at Bo’s Place and with many rescue animal groups in Houston.
Erica Day is the Regional Construction Manager for Westin Homes, but her homebuilding journey began in 2005 when she graduated from Texas A&M. She first started out in warranty and then moved up to Construction Manager! In 2008, she pivoted from multifamily and built apartments for 4 years until she arrived at Westin in 2023. Today, she manages 10 other construction managers in her area in West Houston.
Jo Dunham earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in 1998 from the University of Houston. She has been involved in the construction and landscaping industries since 1995, working on both new and remodel projects. In 1998, she began working for Village Builders, where she implemented and managed a successful Quality Assurance Inspection Program. Jo brought her diligence and quality-minded construction to Sandcastle Homes in 2000, when Mike Dishberger recruited her as Sandcastle Homes’ first employee. Four years later, Jo was the first woman to win the prestigious title of “Construction Superintendent of the Year” from the Greater Houston Builders Association. She has been quoted in the Houston Chronicle for her expertise in construction and landscaping. And—only Jo would be proud of this—she also won the Royal Caribbean Cruise Line’s “Men’s International Belly Flop” Contest. She lives in Garden Oaks with her my amazing son, 2 Golden Retrievers, cat, bearded dragon and hermit crab. In her free time, she enjoys training her dogs in obedience, agility, hunt test and dock diving.
Victoria Hawes-Devenney
Victoria graduated first in her class from the University of Houston before getting her Master’s Degree in Communication from Purdue University. She started at Jamestown as a construction superintendent and was named “2014 Project Manager of the Year” by the Texas Association of Builders’ and “2013 Custom Superintendent of the Year” by the Greater Houston Builders Association.
Victoria is a Certified Green Professional and a Certified Graduate Builder. Both of these designations are earned through the National Association of Home Builders. She has served on the Board of Directors for the State and National Home Builders Associations. Victoria enjoys helping create new designs for Jamestown clients.
